Svetlana Gadgieva was born in Jchelyabinsk (Russia). Since her childhood she took great interest in fine art and music, she studied art and music in special schools. After graduation from high school, she continued her education in an Academy of Fine Art in St. Petersburg.

Svetlana now works as a designer in St. Petersburg and as an artist. She uses mixed techniques, watercolour, oil on paper and always produces a high quality of work.

She has taken part in following exhibitions: 1984 - 1993 Annual exhibitions in the Academy of Fine Art in St. Petersburg 1994 - 1998 "Artists of Russia" traveling exhibition, England 1998 Exhibition "opening Day" in Municipality of St. Petersburg 1999 "Anthology of Modern Art" Exhibition, St. Petersburg Sept. 1999 One person exhibition in the "Russian Centre" Gdansk, Poland Dec. 1999 One person exhibition in Vurzelen, Germany

Svetlana Gadgieva's paintings can be seen in constant exhibition in the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Art, and in private collections in Russia, France, Japan, Canada, Germany , Argentina and the USA.
