Comments :It is with great pleasure that I recommend Creighton-Davis Gallery in the highest terms to all prospective collectors, whether more experienced or only just budding. John Dupree (the proprietor) unerringly gives invaluable advice on purchasing, and carefully guides the client through all the potential complications of buying fine art with great courtesy and a lexical knowledge of his field. His real gift is turning what could become an anxious process into an exciting and enormously rewarding thrill. I have now bought six works from him (which should endorse my high opinion of John and his gallery's output more than anything else I write) and in each instance a glorious piece was shipped to me with the utmost care. The provenance of the artwork was meticulously traced and double-checked. John Dupree's passion both for fine art and for making it available to art-lovers is a real asset to a marketplace which can often seem a little stand-offish and arcane. Finally, if you are ever unsure about any aspect of a prospective online purchase, phone John. You will be walked carefully through all aspects of what your purchase will entail. You will be sent detailed photographs. The condition and nature of each work will always be carefully described and you will be left with an absolutely clear idea of what it is you are buying. I wish John greatly deserved good luck for his new gallery which will be opening shortly in Florida.
