  • Condition:In very fine fresh condition, the colors strong, without margins as published.
  • Size:

  • Note: Chagall's spiritual home was Paris and when he left France before WW II for the U.S. he was somewhat despondent. After the war and several short trips back to Paris he finally relocated for good in the late forties. His joy at being back in Paris is reflected in burst of creative color and lyrical romantic imagery in works of this era that may well be his career best. The "Derriere le Miroir" "Paris" lithographs are clearly some of his best work in the medium and explains why "Paris" is considered the most desirable of the "Derriere le Miroir" issues.
