"Crying Girl", as released by the Parish Museum, Long Island, N.Y.

Offset lithograph on lightweight on white wove paper, 1995-96, signed in ink "Roy Lichtenstein" by the artist, , from a lot of 50 signed by the artist to assist in a fund raising event for the museum.,
  • Condition:In fine condition, colors bright and rich.
  • Sheet: (sheet) 18 by 24 in. (45.8 x 61 cm.)
  • References: Recorded and illustrated in the standard text on the graphics of Lichtenstein by Corlett, p. 254 (first version).
  • Provenance: With a Rye Ridge Gallery, Rye Brook, N.Y. label verso.
  • Framing: Framed in accordance with accepted conservation standards, acid free mats and mounts, removable hinging.
  • Note:The iconic "Crying Girl" image was reproduced for an exhibition of Lichtenstein's prints at the Parish Museum on Long Island in 1995. Lichtenstein and his wife had a continuing association with the museum and fifty of these prints were signed by the artist in 1995 as part of a fund raising effort.
