Note: Leger was one a pioneer in the use of ball point pen to sign his prints. Unfortunately most of these signatures have faded substantially as here. The faint signature was faithfully retraced in pencil.
The date in the plate (53) refers to the date of a gouache used as the basis for the lithograph which was actually created and printed in 1954(Saphire p. 247)
