This work should clean up well and the colors become more lively.Not examined with blacklight. Size: 53 1/2 by 55 1/2 in. (130 x 140 cm.) Provenance: Aquired from a European castle in the 60s. Framing: Sold in a period frame, in fair condition. Note: Nowak was noted for his paintings of musicians, especially Frans Schubert, a composer who has, more than any other musician, fueled the imagination of painters, authors, playwrights and film directors. This is a very rare large canvas of the subject by this artist, perhaps his major work on the artist..
